Rosario + Vampire – Episode 13 [Fin]

Mar 30 2008 Published by Mina under Rosario + Vampire

The ending was just like expected. Perhaps I shouldn’t watch shows where every detail is so predictable. At least Ruby – perhaps the most interesting character of all – returned.
All in all Rosario + Vampire turned from my favourite show of the season into the the most annoying one. There’s not even a kiss at the end, though it’s clear Tsukune and Moka love each other. Argh!

Rosario + Vampire – Episode 12

Yes, finally this show is getting very serious. Still I’m annoyed. Why did they bring up the Public Safety Commission so late. They could have been the enemy from the very beginning.
And I can’t laugh about Shirayuki popping out of nowhere anymore…though I can laugh about stalkers being stalked!

Rosario + Vampire – Episode 11

After the last two episodes, that felt so much like a finale to me, I can’t cope what’s coming now. Well, this times there’s a bit more to it than usual, but it’s still the old rival appears, Tsukune and friends defeat it-thing!

H2O – Episode 12 [Fin]

Mar 24 2008 Published by Mina under H2O ~footprints in the sand~

And so H2O comes to an end. It’s not clear, wether Hirose actually was able to see but it’s not that important. All in all this show was not excellent, but still enjoyable to watch and I like the message: Everybody can achive happiness!
Though he wasn’t able to see and he carried a heavy burden Hirose was strong enough to help everybody in the village and so they got strong enough to help him. Some characters, especially Hinata/Hotaru matured a lot and I love shows were you can see character development and…take alook into the future. Oh my God, Hirose’s feet are so thin and long *giggle* The ending is kitschy, but still I like it and it makes me feel good. Over all a three star rating out of five!

Mushiuta – Episode 11

Mar 21 2008 Published by Mina under Mushiuta

Short Summary:
When Shiika arrives at the appartment Rina is already gone. Instead the strange woman, who had seemed to give a mushi to Asami, explaines she’s one of the original three – the Voracious Eater. Shiika gets rescued by Minmin who’s not a spy at all, but loves Haji Keigo and wants to bring him Fuyuhotaru. In a fight Minmin’s mushi gets killed by Shiika. But in the end she’s injured/she dies, too.
Meanwhile Rina is at GARDEN and meets Kaji. She gets to know mushi were created by humans that want to rule over all the hosts that have lost their dreams. Rina is shocked and has to fight against hundreds and thousands SEPB hosts plus mushis, but when she gets the chance to kill Haji her powers have gone and her mushi Nanahoshi wins. She truns into a big monster and destroyes half the city till Kakkou appears. Though he’s about to turn into a monster himself he wants to save Rina. But then the Voracious Eater appears.

My opinion:
Okay, this is getting a bit crazy now. I hope there’s a possibility for Rina to turn back, also for Kakkou. The Voracious Eater must be destroyed, still what about the other two original hosts?

Mushiuta – Episode 10

Mar 21 2008 Published by Mina under Mushiuta

Short Summary:
Daisuke finally knows Fuyuhotaru and Shiika are one and the same person. It seems Haji did know about this and not it’s Daisuke’s/Kakkou’s job to catch Rina/Ladybird. Rina feels depressed about her unhappy love and even Shiika wnats to leave her, but she begs her to stay. The next evening Rina’s spy appears and tells her the truth about the Fallen and how to get into GARDEN. So Rina introduces Shiika to her mushibane friends and leaves to draw Daisuke before she goes to GARDEN. Kakkou revelas his identity and begs Rina not to go there, as it is more important to live on to fulfill dreams instead of dying for their sake. Rina gets angry and tries to kill Daiskue, but she can’t do it. Though he warned her this night she takes the train to GARDEN.

My opinion:
This is a complicated situation now, I WANT to know what’s goint to happen next, but on the other hand I’m afraid Rina might die, and ,damn, she’s my favourite character in an anime show for years. She’s strong and weak at once and she fights for her dreams. What could be more admirable?

H2O – Episode 11

This show gets an awesome ending arc, I can’t belive everything concerning his blindness was Hirose’s imagination. We’re coming back to the theme of a girl beaing beaten, now even by her closest friend. I wonder if Takuma will come back to normal and IF wether Hayami can forgive him.

Mushiuta – Episode 9

Mar 20 2008 Published by Mina under Mushiuta

Short Summary:
C freed Daisuke from the video camera while Asami has disappeared and Rina is upset she wasn’t able to save a friend again. She asks Shiika to stay by her side forever, because they both share the same dream of having a place where they belong. Rina feels comfortable with Shiika around her and her mood gets a bit better. The following weekend she wants to concentrate on drawing so she encourages Shiika to meet with her boyfriend. Not knowing Daisuke is Shiika’s love Rina meets him at school and asks him to model for her in the future. He agrees and tells her he’s going to leave for the planetarium (where he meets Shiika). The lovers are happy to meet each other again and decide to spend christmas together. They talk about their dreams and have to discover both knew a person having the same dream (because they already met as Fuyuhotaru and Kakkou). In the end Rina appears at the planetarium and hopes to see Daisuke, she didn’t expect to discover he is Shiika’s boyfriend. Rina starts to cry and runs away, Shiika comes after her. While they are running, their mushis appear and Daisuke realizes Rina is ladybird and Shiika Fuyuhotaru. also Rina finally gets to know the true identity of her roommate.

My opinion:
I guess what I like most about this show is the great mixture between seeing the lifes of some young people with super powers and their true feelings about it in their normal life. Yes, they have normal lifes with school, friendship and love. Love is showed as a fragile flower that starts to bloom in an hostile environment where just a little wind blow can destroy it. Finally the identities of the main characters are revealed and I’m anxious to see how Daisuke is going to react now.

H2O – Episode 10

Mar 16 2008 Published by Mina under H2O ~footprints in the sand~

This was quite a nice episode, as the story finally gets rounded up. I liked the symbolic use of the upcoming storm and that at long last Hirose’s blindness is a central theme again. Two episodes last and with the hostile behaviour of the villagers I wonder wether there’s a chance this could end good.

H2O – Episode 9

If it wouldn’t have been for the episode’s title, I guess, I woudln’t have recognized Hozumi as a character again. So far I only saw him as a funny element, being Hirose’s uncle, but dressing like a woman. This time I could see he cares about his nephew and even more important, he supports him.
While Hirose, Hayami and Hotaru are involved in problems they more or less can’t understand and don’t have to answer for, Hozumi was part of the original events, one generation before!
With episode 9 we come to the important Hotaru/Hayami decision and I have to admit I don’t really care. I’m not very attached to the characters, Hirose is no man for me and I don’t care wether he lives happily with Hotaru or Hayami. No matter what they are going to be in trouble with Hotaru’s grandfatherd and the rest of the villagers.
