True Tears – Episode 3

Feb 18 2008 Published by Mina under True Tears

True Tears is such a quiet and beautiful show. We get to know about Hiromi’s past with Shinichir? and I wonder why she tries to seal all that away. Perhaps she thinks it’s not okay to be in love with him while living under the same roof? And that’s what she is – in love with him – or why that expression at the end?

My opinion:
Strange, while H2O seems to have lost its charme from the first to the second episode, True Tears turned out simply great. The animation qualitiy, color range and background music are beautiful and the pace is just perfect. Hiromi takes action and we get to know her at least a bit, she’s not the mystic, unknown girl from before.
I wonder what’s behind Hirmoi’s past. Did she actually know Shinichir? when she was a child or was the scene just a symbol? I will go and watch episode 3 in a minute…I hope I’ll find out!

True Tears – Episode 1

Short Summary:
Shinichir? Nakagami is living with his family and Hiromi – a pretty, popular and always smiling girl from his school. Her father was a friend of his and after Hiromi’s father’s death they took her in. But at home she is very quiet and never smiles. Shinichir? is sure she is hiding her tears and wants to get in contact with her, but he doesn’t know why. Instead he’s drawing watercolor pictures of her.
One day at school he meets Noe Isurugi, a rather strange girl and it seems he got cursed by her. So he tries to think og a solution to get rid of her course and gets to know her a bit better. After a tragedy on the school grounds he’s sure she’s going to cry, but instead she tells him she’s given away her tears.

My opinion:
As I like series based on character relationships and developments, this might be one for me.
