Starship Operators – Episode 8

There’s nothing more to say than I think Starship Operators is the best show of the winter 2005 season.

There’s nothing more to say than I think Starship Operators is the best show of the winter 2005 season.

There’s no better way to start into a new day then with Starship Operators. This show is improving more and more. This time it was a very slow pace episodes; we see Renna gone and preperations for the big battle to come next episode. But the slow pace is not interfering with the tension and the potential that lies within the series. We see character developement and wonderful political and tactical meetings. I still like the oldfashioned feeling this all has. There’s no suprise fighting but a combat is prepared for days from both sides. There are no food or energy supplies that last forever, so the Amaterasu is always reliant on neutral planets to help them. That all makes it more realistic and breathtaking on it’s own way. I’m addicted and hope ANBu will make it to sub the rest of the show as well.

Wow, this episode included everything a good aime needs to have: Drama, Action, character developement, emotions. story developement and sadly the death of one of the most interesting persons on board of the Amaterasu. Step by step “Starship Operators” makes it to be the most enjoyable show of the season and it’s true, the better you know the chracters the better it’s to watch. I’m still offended there was no proper chracter introduction. If there’d been this could be a masterpiece!
Thanks to the Sea Slugs! Team for giving so wonderful summaries, now I understand everything that’s going on, though my english is not good enough ^^

Due to my Englisch skills I have some problems to follow the show 100%. or ist it the problem of “Starship Operators”? Did Renna appear any time before or do I just not remember her?! There are so many characters, I don’t know the name of any of them.
The ending was not really thrilling but I still like to watch on. tehre is something that hooks me to keep on watching. I’m glad ANBU catches up with the subbing. Did Lunar abandon the project?

It’s all for the sake of Sanri’s love – how cute. I wonder why the girls are so in focus of the show. Not that I’m not enjoying it, but a Sci-Fi series with girls as heroes is strange to me. Girl power!
The episode was pretty enjoyable, I don’t know why I like Starship Operators so much. It’s Sci-Fi, but in a way it feels old-fashioned; it makes me smile, I like it. In Star Trek it would be something like “The ship will reach us within three minutes” here its “five to ten days” *lol*
Did I mention I like the ending so much I have to watch it every episode, the girls in private clothes in that Gilgamesh-CLAMP mixture style: Eyecandy!

Wow, the story seems to get sense, now we get the beackgrounf information not to think the whole logic is stupid anymore. besides I get a feeling for the characters. it’s hard to follow a show when there are no character introdactions.
Besides the whole thing is rather stupid…I just like it and look forward to the next episode.
Did I mention I like the ending song?
