Short Summary:
Makoto and Katsura are again daiting, Katsura now gets crazy because Makoto hugs her and Sekai interferes a lot…but after Itou visits Katsura’s house we come to an interesting point. Makoto tells Saionji on the phone he’s tired of hanging around Katsura.
My opinion:
I know the net is flodded with posts and comments how stupid Makoto is…I agree, but I have to admit I also anderstund him. Katsura is annoying. Pretty and cute, okay, but what do you want with a girl that gets crazy because of hugging???? It’s not like she has to sleep with him the next second!
This turn is also not suprising if you think of the fact Katsura and Makoto only know each other from seeing each other on the train. They never talked, not that they are doing much now, but it’s a kind of normal developement Itou gets to know Katsura and recognizes she’s NOT the one for him.
Sounds a lot like I’m defending Makoto…he IS an idiot after all!

Short Summary:
Makoto and Katsura go out for their first date, but Itou turns out to be a complete idiot. On their next meeting he even tries to kiss her, but Katsura is too suprised and afraid and so she slaps him.
It’s again Sekai who helps. She tells Makoto he has to wait longer and should try to know Katsura better if he really likes her. So he tries to make up with Katsura and tells her he won’t be going to kiss her again if she doesn’t want. Katsura is again to suprised and shy to accept his apology and runs away to attend a board meeting. Itou shouts he’s going to wait for her at the station.
When Katsura leaves school some time later Sekai is waiting for her and the two of them have a long talk about Makoto and his feelings for Katsura. Afterwards she’s brave enough to face Makoto at the station and actually they kiss at last!
My opinion:
This second episode was not as entertaining as the first one, simply because Makoto really turns out to be the standard idiot and I’ve seen enough of those. Still I enjoy the production quality and all the characters are so beautiful, especially Katsura who’s often shown in different camera angles, which makes her look even more interesting and pretty. Of course there’s a lot of fanservice, too. Like always as a girl I don’t care, but it’s also not that omnipresent, so it’s not disturbing me.
With Sekai as a main character the series keeps being promising and I hope there’s more touching stuff to come! (not like the touch Sekai gives Katsura in the fifth picture ^_~)

Short Summary:
Makoto Itou is in love with the girl who rides on the same train as him. He never spoke to her so far, only took secretly a photo with his cell phone. At school that girl – Katsura – is in another class and Makoto finds himself next to another cute girl: Sekai Saionji! She gets to know he’s in love with Katsura and decides to help him, only few days later the three of them have lunch together and have a lot of fun. Makoto decides to be a man and confesses to Katsura who accepts and seems very happy. Both, Katsura and Makoto, are deeply grateful and Makoto tells Sekai he will return her favour. But Sekai already knows what the return should look like, when Itou is unprepared she steals a kiss from his lips, enters the next train and wishes him good luck for his date with Katsura.
My opinion:
“School Days” made a big impression on me. I like character design, animation, background music. The story comes straight to the point, Makoto and Katsura find directly together. Still, with Sekais kiss a triangle relationship foreshadows.
I especially liked the presentation of Makoto’s relations with the people around him embodied by the school entrance scene. First only Makoto and Katsura are in colour, later on you can see there are much more people involved, and it’s only Itou’s focus which makes him see only Katsura.
