And so H2O comes to an end. It’s not clear, wether Hirose actually was able to see but it’s not that important. All in all this show was not excellent, but still enjoyable to watch and I like the message: Everybody can achive happiness!
Though he wasn’t able to see and he carried a heavy burden Hirose was strong enough to help everybody in the village and so they got strong enough to help him. Some characters, especially Hinata/Hotaru matured a lot and I love shows were you can see character development and…take alook into the future. Oh my God, Hirose’s feet are so thin and long *giggle* The ending is kitschy, but still I like it and it makes me feel good. Over all a three star rating out of five!

My opinion:
With episode 1 and the protagonists being a girl that’s beaten by her classmates and a blind boy who tries to help H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~ gave us a promise. A promise to be different, to be mature, interesting.
From time to time there are hints again what this show could be, for example with Hinata’s dead little sister or her kiss with Hirose. In that moments the atmosphere of the show completley changes and I’m sitting in front of the TV thinking “yes, that’s it! that’s what you promised, give me more of it!” But then I get disappointed each and every episode again. This time we had the oh so typicall beach and swimsuit episode combined with the oh so typicall annoying “I want my brother/sister for me alone”-child!
I tried to take the show for a normal one, but than the humour isn’t strong enough like in the scene with the knife. This was supposed to be funny, but it wasn’t, I mean, it’s a damn knife. Trying to kill someone is just NOT funny! And again to the end of every episode there’s this awesome cliffhanger which makes me watch more of this stupid show, so I continue watching, and continue, and get annoyed every time again. Argh, it’s a bother! So off to episode 5 for more Yui stupidity and unbearable out of place fanservice!

My opinion:
I feel like the show can’t decide wether to be mysterious or provide us with plenty of information. While the relationship between Hinata and Hayami as shildren was completely revealed, there’s a new secret concerning Hinata’s little sister. It’s exactly that hint which keeps me watching, by the rest I’m more or less annoyed.
Takuma seemed so strong, though he was blind he stood up for Hayami. Now he’s able to see and can’t even go up against Hinata dragging him to school. Otoha-chan just appears to say “hello, just to remind you, I’m a spirit” and than she’s gone again.
Still the most annoying character is Yui, she feels so out of place for me, like someone thought, a character like her HAS to be there, though it would work out fine without her. I wonder what’s actually going on with Hinata. Is she really in love with Takuma or is her behaviour a grandfather-order.
You see, I’m interested enough to keep watching, but it’s so disappointing when a show starts off with a good frist episode, just to loose its charm completley the following weeks.
