Claymore – Episode 5

Jun 17 2007 Published by Mina under Claymore

Short Summary:
Terese is one of the most powerful Claymore. She so strong that she does not have to use her yoma-powers, so her face always stays beatiful, when she slaughters demons. In one city she kills a Yoma which brought a little girl as a “toy” with him. She seems to be okay, but she doesn’t speak. After the Yoma’s death teh girl starts to follow Teresa, although she gets hit and kicked several time. After she almost dies to follow Teresa the Claymore more or less accepts her as a companion and starts to think a lot about this silent girl. In the end she gives her the name Clare and finds out that exactly is her correct name.

My opinion:
I’m not sure so far, wether the name similarity is by accident or not but I guess this is the story how Clare became a Claymore. I was so hooked up this episode felt like it lasted only ten minutes or so. I have to watch another…and another…and…

Claymore – Episode 4

Short Summary:
One of the soldiers decides to help Clare after she saved his life. She’s sleeping for two days to recover while Raki stays at her bed to pray for her life. After she’s feeling better a bit she makes a new plan to find the yoma together with father Vincent who asked for her help. Teh yoma must be hidden in one of the priests or even the bishop himself, but that theory is wrong. Clare trys to think harder and in the end finds the solution, the yoma hides in a corpse. She finds it just when it trys to attack Raki, together with the two soldiers from before she fights it and almost ends up loosing her life. And also there’s another problem, she started to turn into a yoma herself and can’t stop the flow.

My opinion:
While this episode was overall dark and depressing again it left me with a happy and bright feeling in the end. Clare starts to show open affection for Raki and I like it she gets slightly more human after all.

Claymore – Episode 3

Short Summary:
Clare is ordered to a holy city, where no half-yomas are allowed, so she has to hide and takes some liquid that makes her look like a human being but also weakens her senses. There’s a yoma in the cathedral and Clare trys to kill it, but she gets in trouble with the local soldiers and additionally has to fight against the yoma…which is really strong and injures her, after she risked her life to save two soldiers.

My opinion:
Okay, okay, this episode with Clare as a cute human girl was awesome and of course I’va already watched more episodes, so beside everything I thought and predicted Claymore ended up to be on my watch- / blogging-list ^^

Claymore – Episode 2

Short Summary:
In every town people are afraid of Clare. Raki really can’t understand this, as he gets to know her a bit more (emphasis on “a bit”). When they rest over night in the wils Clare walks off alone to meet a strange man in the dark (who was a bit too much interested in her body, in my opinion *cough*) who brings her new clothes and a black card. Afterwards Clare gets a room in a tavern for Raki. She wants him to stay there while she settles an unknown matter. In the tavern a man tells Raki some facts about Claymores, that they are some kind of experiment. Humans that took in the flesh and blood of Yomas, so they can defeat them. Their human part is necessary to controll the yoma part. But in the end, yo the man tells Raki, the yoma part wins. That means Clare is going to become a yoma. Instantly Raki runs after Clare to find out wether that’s true. He has to find out in a very cruel way. Clare is on a mission to kill the only friend she ever had, another Clamore, who can’t control the yoma-part of her anymore.
When this happens Claymore takes out a black card of her sword and sends it to another Claymore. The mission of the other Claymore is now to kill her as long as her heart is human.
My opinion:
After watching already some of the new season’s shows I have to admit Claymore is so far the best. Still I don’t know wether I continue watching it. To be honest I don’t plan to do so. The atmosphere is so depressing and desperate. But I’m sure this show will find many fans and I risk to predict it deserves them.
