Now I found out Black Cat’s supposed to run for 52 episodes. I can’t imagine that for Blood+, how will it work for this show? I’m just so unsure because I’m impressed Train already decided to work against Chronos. I thaugh the story would be built on the progress to come to this decision, but now he already chose his path.
Again I enjoyed the heavy symbolic weight of the Train on the roof at daytime scene. At daytime!!! It’s an outer reflection of his inner developement. Adorable, or not?
Creed starts to become a more and more interesting character. It often happens the admiration for someone grows so big you can’t distinguish between love, hate, admiration and grudge anymore.
After a while I remebered the fight between him and Black Cat was the one we saw in the first episode before the OP. So it may be very important what happened between them. Again I was struck by the weired colors and I really started to think that might have sense, so I looked up what green means but it does not fit: Harmony, regeneration, life. In asian culture it’s said to belong to Yang, the more passive side. Perhaps I should have more comprehension what green means in the eastern countries. Perhaps anyone knows?

WOW…I’m just..wow!This episode was unbelievable!!! Cool characters (Eve transforming into a pseudo-Yugi-hairstyle superweapon, Sven risking his life), very good action with fitting bgm…I sat there with heebie-jeebies till a minute ago.
What I like the most was the use of symbolics. Torneo had this jacket which was coloured like everything in Gankoutsou. It’s abit out of place but the fact Eve’s flower on her rbeast had the same colours made it likeable again.
Or look at this example:
When he talks to her about the prey = black cat there was a cat on the picasso-like painting on the wall. When he tells her she’s a demon…well, there’s demon.
I love such detailed work!

There are quite some things I like about the show:
- Train
- it’s not episodic
- Train
- the strange colours
- Sven and Train come to be enemies without a reason, but sometimes things liek that just happen
- well, did I mention Train
But still it feels strange. At the moment there are so many shows on my watch list I have to overthink it, and Black Cat isn’t one of the shoo-ins ^^

Sven did a good job this time. He’s naive…or a gentlemen, like he says, but it’s obviuos that girl tricks him.
So now Kimono on the roof girl got on my nerves. Did Train really get a crush on her? Nande?
I felt like the animation was not as good as last time and we saw again some really weird colours *lol* But that’s okay. It fits the strangeness of the show. It’s still like Sven and Train aren’t part of the same series. The atmosphere around XIII is mysterious and cool, Sven provides the bad jokes (btw those make me laugh my ass off). Unlike in Canvas you exactly know there’S a joke to come, but that doesn’t debase the quality of the joke.
Could it be the writers, producers and so on watched a bit too much Cowboy Bebop!????????!!!??! Sweepers…Kimono on the roof-Faye Valentine girl…the MUSIC???
For now I’m pleased and “Black Cat” is another show on my fall 2005 watch list *sigh*

Black Cat is an action-packed, mystery pierced show. The character design is standard but the animation with weird colours and angles is pretty cool and some may know I’m alittle GONZO fangirl.
Sven, one of the mein charcters so far was rather boring in my eyes, I’m not the one for starving losers.
On the other hand we are introduced to XIII of Chronos: Train Heartnet aka Black Cat! He had only some sentences, but the atmosphere created around him trough animation and especially soundtrack is sugoi! It’s like I can’t really understand Sven and Train are part of one and the same show.
At the end we saw some memories or rather nightmares of Train that were even more a reason to watch next episode. I’m really not convinced I will keep watching it, as I’m not too big fan of action and Sven, you know, but if it goes more into a mystery direction it might hook me!
