Finally I feel like writing about Air again. The emotional impact of the last episode was so big I was not able to write anything down with sense. I’m not very good in doing analysises so I won’t. I just want to conclude my feelings.
Air is not the masterpiece I wanted it to be. Honestly it’s the best animated show I’ve ever seen, EVER *honto ni* The soundtrack was well arranged and the character design fitted well. The atmosphere was very emotional and hooked me sometimes, I could not stop myself from crying. Minagi, Michiru and all the main character girls were cute and likeable, their stories nice, but in the end they don’t felt like being main characters at all. In addition, Yukito who definitely was a protagonist was erased from the show after episode 10. I can’t understand that.
Also like I wrote some times before from episode to episode I felt like watching a totally different show, in the case of Air that wasn’t good. I don’t see too much connection beetween the “main girls” and Misuzu, their stories did not really have influence on Misuzu’s. It was a bit a mess, resulting from the small number of episodes compared to the range of events. With more eps the series could have been much better.
I did not understand the ending, no matter what I wrote about it. Perhaps I would after rewatching the series, but I don’t want to. All in all I like Air, but it won’t take a place in my favourites list.
But after all I have to admit it was the best show of the season so far.

Am I really supposed to do any analysis?
I’m so damn angry I was totally right. I started to love Misuzu’s character so much the last episodes I almost can’t stand the pain now she’s gone. All the time I was waiting for her cute laugh or a little “gao”. That was rare last episodes.
Finally Misuzu made it to take some good memories with her thanks to Yukito and Haruko (my opinion is no longer she was a side character)…but in the end not enough. Perhaps she was partly cured and the next incarnation of Kanna won’t live such a hard life like the hundreds before did. I want to belive Yukito, Sora whoever will make it within the next hundreds of years to heal Kanna.
But to think of it Misuzu died exactly the same way Kanna did. She also had some positive memories before she died…but she had to die at all. Same with Misuzu. What the little boy in the end says is a hint there was no chance for Yukito to save the girl in the sky. Her fate is always the same. She has to die. But her death is not only tragedy. She brought happiness to Haruko, even after her death. The value of love, family, friendship…with Yukito searching after her he came and even saved all the other girls and gave them happiness, he found happiness himself. If you see the stroy from that side Air is not that tragic and sad at all. There’s sense in Misuzu’s life and even in her death.
I don’t know what else to write, perhaps I have to think it over…

There are not many animes that make me cry…Air is one of them. While one episode feels the worst the next one seems to be the best you’ve ever seen. the emotional potential of the show is unbelievable. At the moment I don’t know where to put Yukito/Sora in the story but Misuzu and Haruko do the best on their own.
But as mentioned in many other blogs Haruko is only a side character…is she really? Where did all the main characters of the dream arc go? Where that really little storie on their own, only related a bit to Misuzu’s past?
The ending of episode 11 felt so good like the complete series could end good…but to be honset I don’t think that’s going to be the case. In my personal opinion Misuzu will die…and I’m sure again I will cry the hell out of me. I hope for my sake I’m wrong.

A very interesting episode, nice to see things from a different side. Still I don’t really get the Yukito-crow connection but I’ll see.

Somehow I’m the only blogger who liked the summer arc, I really did…but that ending of that episode…huh???????
Strange things is the last two episodes felt totally different from the rest of the series, like watching a different show. That’s exactly my problem with Air. too messy, I don’t see all relations and tjose I see are still not good connected. Sad, really sad. You could have done a masterpiece with the story and the animation !!!
Only three episodes to go. Slowly I’m looking forward to starting off with new shows in april.

Although Episode 8 was a complete flashback it was beautiful, funny, cute. That is what I expect an Air episode to be. Lovley!

You are sitting there, six episodes not knowing what’s going on, and suddenly you realize it…and it’s boring. Five episodes to go and I think I already know the solution of it all. Baka!
Worst of all there’s a whole flashback episode ahead…I don’t really like flashbacks *sigh*
I hope something happens so that Air catches me again!

That was close, my god *still fighting with tears*
This show is so amazing, I was totally in thoughts about wether Air is supposed to be a realistic show about human feelings or if the magic in it is real…
The tragic hit me suddenly. Looking forward to Misuzu’s story arc.

Ms Docotr seems to be the only normal person in that town. I felt so sorry for Mosuzu…but why did she have to look like a girl from a cheap hentai when she cried!? I do know now why I don’t like her look that much…her hes, she always seems to be tired.
Tonno and Michiru are one person, I’m pretty much sure. And both love Yukito!
