I'm back. And this time I bring Elis with me!

Today I proudly present the new face of the KAKUMEI . ANIME BLOG. I no longer wanted to see the place left and rotting and it's one of my problems I can't post entries, when I'm not pleased with the design.
This one's very clean, simple and cute now, I just love it. A back to basics blog, not loaded with unneccesary information, pics and links. The blogroll had to leave the frontpage, but don't be afraid, you are all still in there and I just signed up at animenano.com to overcome my animesuki trauma, get new readers and make old friends come back!

I never thought it could really, really happen to me, because when I start something I plan to finish it sooner or later but there are so many shows now I havn't finished so far and perhaps never will...
So there will be a harsh clean up this time and big hello to the new season...which means I have to stop here. I'm going to cook myself a plate of pasta and watch Kanon! See you after it ^_~ Bye-bye!

Blah...

This is really not my season. There are about 15 shows I havn't even seen the first episode yet, not to speak about my blogging habits. The truth ist I watched only a bit more then I wrote - NANA and I'm addicted to Strawberry Panic! *lol*

What this place needs is a redesign, this time a big one. New outside and inside of my mind. Please keep visiting me. I will try to blog sometimes next weeks, although I'm overloaded with work and university.

In holidays, or earlier if possible, I'm doing the redesign...and then revolution meets evolution ^^

Complete Review

REC is a cute little 12 minutes / 9episodes show about Aka, who wants to become a good voice actress. One day she meets Matsumaru, a rather normal, not to say boring, company employee. He works on a merchandise campaign for a snack. The same night Aka and Matsumaru meet her house burns down and in a state of shock she lets Matsumaru look after her and they end up in bed together.

Aftewards Aka is insistent that it only happend because she was shocked and that she's not his girlfriend or something. Still they plan to live together till she finds another flat.
In this common time they get to know each other better, they work together on the campaign and Aka's career as a seiyuu develops. But what about their feelings?

I guess the only thing about REC that's negative was the animation quality compared to the prome picture that was ex ante released on the official homepage. Besides REC captivats with the adorable character of Aka and the pleasing pace of the story development. The intercourse in the first episode given, it's even more interesting wether those two find each other or not. The set time of only 12 minutes per episode are no problem for me. There's not time to be bored or annoyed and still it's plenta enough for the right development.

All in all REC is no must have seen, but it's a pity if you have not!

Movable Type 3.2, Marathons, Bloggers, Shana and stuff

Today I updated my movableType version to 3.2, deleted Blacklist and installed the SCode plugin. I'm sorry you have to input some stupid validation code now to leave a comment, but as there are rarley comments at all ~_~° and the spammers make me go nuts I had to do this. First I thought the new MT version would be enough, it's pronounced on the sixapart homepage you don't need Blacklist anymore, because spam is now detected but I have problems with locking specific comment authors and I still get the "You've got a comment"-mails. That are about at least 50 per day and I hate them. Actually I disable the message me Feature, but...perhaps a case for the MT X-Files ^^

SCode directly moves all comments without or a wrong validation code to the junk comments, I get no messages and I'm fine with it. If you want to add it to your MT, too and have problems with an error occuring due to line 100 you have to edit your mt-config.cgi and enable a tmp-directory. It's important the slashes are at both sides: /tmp/

The whole community seems to make a fuss because a second season of Honey&Clover was announced. I have to admit *yeah, shame on me* I did not watch the first season so far. *gomen gomen* But there is nobody, NOBODY so far who uttered a bad word about it (if YOU have, don't give me the link to your site, I want to believe it's unspeakable good), so it can only be good, right? This will be my marathon project before the summer or fall season than, this time...till saturday??? *shock*...it's school rumble, or isn't it worth it? I love to marathone shows, now I'm so enamoured of Noein. I'd like to write pages about it and on the other hand not. I'm at episode 18 now and waiting impatiently for new fansub releases. Onegai shimasu!!!

I'm glad anime blogging is so addicting after Jeff returned with Hot Step Jump! now also Moyism is back after a short break: Zero Thoughts!

I'll try to give my best in the future, too!

Just yesterday I blogged about keeping an eye on future Shana releases, in the evening I was yble to try the recent Shakugan no Shana PlayStation2 game. If only I was already better in Japanese. I'm a student for one semster now and have enough knowledge of the language to buy food in a conbini or something, but it's ways not enoiugh to play a game properly. Still I was adamantine and played till teh first fight...I lost shamefully. Still I guess it was fun and the fighting system as far as I could see is easy and entertaining. If I should ever be able to play it properly I will let you know more about it.

There's philosophy that's too high for me

You may have recognized I stopped blogging Noein after episode four...it's the same strange phenomenon as often with the shows I'm impressed about...they start to gather on my harddrive, one episode after another, but I don't think I can cope with the blogging. Noein is one of those "I'm overwhelmed"-victims, it was the same with Sousei no Aquarion. No I started watching from episode 6 after a long time and like back in fall I love it so much, but I don't think I can/want to blog about it. Alone thinking about the time structure and influence of an butterfly spreading his wings gives me headaches. So I will just relax and watch it for my own sake.

Drop the bomb...I mean show

Just some information, not that I have to give it but...
I kicked out quite some shows of the navigation. Of course I'm going to watch them but it gives me some kind of pressure to blog about them so I actually do not watch them so I don't have to blog about them (what a sentence). Those are the older shows and quickies: Eyeshield21 (yes, I love it, but what to write about a football show???), Sousei no Aquarion (now I can marathon it, yatta), Gun x Sword and Mahou Shoujo Tai. Anything else? Who cares...

I love to give awards

You know everybody does it, and the truth is I love to read such entries why not do one myself *hihihi*
The Fall Season has come to an end, I'm almost finished with three shows and already have waiting Kagihime and Faty/Sty Night for me to start into the new season. Also my first year as an anime blogger is almost over with its seldom downs and many ups. I met people like mAtthew, Kurogane and of course Scott that make this business a fun thing, just to mention some of those great bloggers out there. I was in a blogging delusion to be honest and watched many older shows so I'm a bit confused which shoes really were 2005ers but I guess I'll manage it.

Best show of the year: Loveless (sorry, sorry, fangirlism)
Best shows of the year besides the best show of the year: Shuffle!, Air, Mai-HiME, Emma
Worst show of the year: Jinki:Extend
Almost as worse as the worst show of the year: Izumo, Ichigo 100%
Surprisingly good: Tide-Line Blue, Eyeshield 21
Best Opening: Blood+ (I just love it)

Anything else? Can't think just now. My head is empty. I need a Fate/Stay Night recharge!

Inspiration is one thing...thievery another

Sometimes readers tell me my blog reminds them a lot of Jeff's nowhere. It's no secret Jeff is the reason why I am a blogger and damn I am so thankful for that. His page was always simple, clean and beautiful. He was my inspiration...but oh my God I would have never ever taken his sourcecodes or anything to use it for my blog. Actually the first version of this page was so ugly I don't even have a screenshot *lol*
It's a pleasure for myself how much I developed...I like the current style myself and I don't think it's going to change drastically, it'll only improve to give more information and fun to anyone.

Today I visited a page that pisses me off totally, because it's a let's say 80% copy of mine: RAnSOM. Randi, what did you think you are doing stealing my complete stylesheet (even the colours) and part of the graphics. Burn in hell, girl, burn in hell...or try to get smarter and at least change what you've stolen so much the original owner can't recognize it.

I guess I make some face like Shana when she shouts: "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"

...or what I've done the last few hours

I don't know how many spam entries per day I have here on kakumei...20, 50, 100? I'm using Movable Type Blacklist, but still there a spam comments that come through and I have to delete all those, that were not approved. It takes hours of my time. Does anyone know help?

But it's also funny...not the spam entries, but I found a lots of comments on episodes I had overlooked, almost despammed or something. Thank you all a lot for the response on the Elfen Lied thing. Yes, it was my aim to provoke and it worked perfectly fine and I'm thankful for the serious replies. Perhaps I understand it a lot better now, although I don't like it more, but that's okay, I guess ^^

Than there are that comments on different episodes to several series that make me laugh off my butt. Sorry, I don't want to discriminate anyone, but what do you think by telling me to shut up on this on that character. If you don't like my little pink palace here go somewhere else *lol*

You see, my brain is burned because of all the despamming, but still thanks for each and every comment and hit on the blog...want to know what my favourite search words for this place here are?

Elfen Lied sucks

Elfen Lied sucks...just to grab everybody's attention on the animeblogger antenna! Pleas give me comments on this entry!

In the last four days I marathoned two complete shows, not to talk about the "regular" episodes I watched between.

First one was Puchi Puri Yuushi. I have to talk about it or there wouldn't be anything positive about this entry. It's a cute series, SD like characters, Grenda really rocks...all over kawaii! Something I guess Matthew would blog about ^^...
If you have time, go and watch it, okay?

Man, that's really only to bring me in some kind of mod or I will explode...when I decide which show to watch next I keep an eye on the animenfo Top 200 from time to time. And guess what's no. 4 at the moment: Elfen Lied.

Actually I watched it in one day, but only in my typical hope there must come something that makes it special.

I'm so dissapointed!!! FUCK ELFEN LIED!

Ah, now I feel better, so let's talk about it in a serious kind of way.

An anime that ranks in the top 10 should be special, change my look on life, truly shock me, bring me to tears...you know what I mean. That's what I awaited from Elfen Lied because there are really only good reviews on it around the net. I feel like it was so damn predictable from the first to the last episode and artificial constructed. It's hard to put it into (English) words. I had that feeling all the time it was cooked after a certain recipe:

Let's take a lot of breasts, pants, breasts and even more breasts and mix it up with an even bigger amount of blood and violence.

So it doesn't seem too obvious we only want to sell breasts and blood give the characters some really bad lifes with everything that certainly shocks: Loss of parents, child abuse, killed animals.

The most important ingridient (besides breasts and blood): The fact that society produces psychos!

Tadaa, there you go with Elfen Lied.

Because that facts are so obvious and I'm a girl that does not respond on breasts and blood it did not shock me (and I'm easily scared...the X.-Files...you know). Like I said - predictable.
And unrealistic. Sorry if I spoiler too much, but someone who just found out the nice girl he lived with (he touched her breasts by the way) is the murderer of his family would not hug or even kiss her!!! Hello??? That's beyond everything...you can't have such a good heart...perhaps when you are Jesus or the pope, but in any other cases...

The only thing that gives the show a kind of tragic feeling is that Song...the Elfen Lied ^^ and I liked the fact that Lucy is called...Lucy (Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and so).

Fuck it, fuck it! A waste of time! I could have watched Marimite ~Haru~ instead. *arg baka* At least it made me think so much about it I wrote an entry on it, but that doesn't change my feelings. This show isn't as good as anybody prentends it is. Not at all!!!

Could this be connected to the fact I'm a girl? Opinions please!

Ehrliches Sia zu sein ist mein weniges Liebling Mädchen zum mit Rin Nerine oben zusammenzupassen ist netter, liebt Kaede ihn am meisten und ASA ist das kühlste des Bündels gerecht.
Die ganze Zeit I felt/hoped Rin ging nur auf dieses Datum und tat alles, dem Sia glücklich bilden ließ, aber die letzte Szene uns wirklich Sie Vermutung, die, er sie mag. Fluch, wünsche ich Rin für mich ^^, das sein Sprachschauspieler solch eine gute Arbeit erledigt, adorable!

Hey guys, what happened to the blogging community this summer? ^^ Somehow all of us went on hiatous or whatever. Jeff is going to Japan...take me with you!
Perhaps it's due to the new shows...nothing really, really good so far. Yes, that means I watched quite some shows, but I was too lazy to blog. Suzuka was the worst, could not even stand to watch the complete first episode ^^;; But I think I'm in love with Kamichu!
I also have a big backlog with other shows...don't know how it happened. No time at all ~_~ Next week my job here will end...forever I mean. I think I may find time afterwards *lol*
And I promise to blog this evening, at least the episodes I watched so far: Loveless, Mahoraba, Kamichu...

Do you know this feeling...you can't sleep your eyes are rolling...your hands shiver...
No, I'm particularly NOT talking about abandoning cigarettes...I'm talking about anime deprivation *crying*

I did not watch a single episode for WEEKS! I'm so much behind (that's not the problem, I downloaded all new episodes and I'm going to watch the shows in a row...YES in a row...that means hours and hours of Mahoraba, Loveless, Emma or whatever *eyes sparkling*)

I wanna do it NOW! Argh!

Latley I'm thinking about blogging very much. After some comments of Alex and moyism I felt immediatley of explaining or apologizing why I think so or so about a show. that's my personal problem, but I feel like I'm not the only one. Angel felt in her last entry about Matantei Loki Ragnarok she had to explain why exactly she's blogging about that show now and even Rixot had an entry recently why he is blogging...

All this concerns me because I don't think I'm a very good blogger and that you might think...oh, she's hooked by every show, she always thinks animation and soundtrack are good, does this girl has no taste?
That's not the case at all. Of course there are better and worse anime shows, I'm definitley hooked easy, but more out of the reason I'm interested in almost all kind of anime. For me it's not really a question of liking a show or not, I just want to see it to broaden my horizon. Also it's fun bitching around a series like Jinki ^^

So don't be too pissed off if I write about a show it's good. In other words this means it impressed me (case Sousei no Aquarion), if I really like it or not I can say after I've seen more of it.
By the way I have a trange taste concerning animes. My favourites are those with a bit mystery and much character developement: Revolutionary Girl Utena, Madlax, Uta~Kata, Maria-sama ga Miteru...
I don't think all of those are masterpieces, still these are my favourites. Actually there aren't many masterpiece animes around, the only one I can think of immediatley is Neon Genesis Evangelion.

All in all I just want to say don't be pissed off by my opinions or taste. I will keep on blogging because I like it and I love it to have you around here! Please keep commenting, I will respect your opinions and stop apologizing, becouse you also respect my taste, it's just I did not see it until now.

And *tadadada* No backlog at the moment (besides Mai-Hime and Mahou Shoujo Tai Alice, but these are no up to date shows)! I managed to watch all first episodes of the new season, that were subbed so far and catched up with all remaining winter 2005 shows. Hooray for me!

So from today there will be the new category Spring 2005 where you can find first episodes for the next few weeks, afterwards I will seperate according to which shows I decide to watch/blogg.

Wah, isn't this great? I was so done with the older design, it looked so...well, unprofessional being my first CSS Layout.
This is much better, I feel like blogging even more with that look *lol*

White is my favourite color to do layouts and when I see this I know why. But what to do with the right side? Any suggestions?

The new season is ahead. First I didn't want to make predictions which series I'm going to watch, but at the moment i have some time...actually I'm bored, so why not take a closer look at what's going to come.

I will definitely watch (well, at least I plan to do so ^^):

Karas - I'm not interested in teh story, but the animation looks sugoi
The law of Ueki - I'm reading the manga every month
Izumo - the artwork seems to be beautiful
Ichigo 100% - how cuuute, I like strawberries
He is my master - hey it's GAINAX, there's no way in NOT watching it
Speed Grapher - it's the same with Gonzo ^^
Honey & Clover - kawaii

I may perhaps take a look:

Bokusatu Tenshi Dokuro-chan - A fighting angel, looks cute
Koi Koi 7 - Don't know anything bout the story
Emma - haha, this looks so classic
Futakoi Alternative - if I make it in time to watch Futakoi

Welcome to my newly established Anime Blog "Kakumei". I know there are hundreds of Anime Blogs out there...but no reason for me not to add another one ^^
