Three girls and two boys does not a harem make! It's high school comedy, you see.
With the extra characters like the green haired girl and soft voiced guy, the gender lines are fairly even.

With the overflow of harem animes recently I just expected it would be another one. You are right, the cast is balanced so I really hope it will keep up the good humour and quality!

Well it could qualify as Harem series but the pimp is certainly Suzumiya in this case. The animation and art of this show strikes me as extremely great. I wonder whether they had some insanely high budget or whether it's just the contrast to the rather disappointing shows of the winter season.

After watching 7 Episodes i 'm not sure wether i like the show or not. But the sheer randomness of what Haruhi Suzumiya says, the irony of Kyon and the strange order of epsiodes is incredibly good. "You gotta love it."

The story is based on a science fiction light novel with the same title, which now numbers 8 books. While it is a good animated expression of the series, it is sad that it will only properly cover the first book, therefore the rest of the mind-twisting plot remains unanimated. By now it`s already episode 10, I hope KyoAni will continue to animate the rest of the novels. Maybe not, since the first season is already prolific enough a work.
