Canvas 2 - Episode 24 [Fin]

Rainbow Coloured Finale

I f you haven't seen the this last episode son't you dare to click on the "Spoil yourself" link....those who did please do, I have to talk about it!
Just one comment for you all: Canvas2 ist just great, go and watch it all!

OH MY GOD! I watched this episode last evening I can't stop thinking about it, I was awake till two 'o clock in the morning, not only because of Canvas 2, but mainly! When I saw what you all saw I was in a state of shock, pure shock. I stared at the TV like I had dreamed for the past few minutes and not seen how the show made a 180° turn aorund in the last scenes.

As long as Hiroki decided to draw the picture for Elis I was okay with it, but when Kiri cried and made a comment she's now his childhood friend again...that was suspicious! And then this Tomoko dies thingie, that was revised just some moments after...for what another attack on my nerves?

Of course my first thought after the naked under the blanket shot was...WHY, but then I took a look at this article and Stripey is perfectly right. I can just repeat it with my own words. Elis matured from the moment she confessed for the first time so much you can't compare her to her old self anymore. The complete sries was constructed for this endshock, with leaving Elis out as a potential love partner for Hiroki, and I was trapped right away. Elis is the better choice for Hiroki and his ambitions to be an artist.

*sigh* It was just a perfect ending, one that I had hoped for at Shakugan no Shana and many other shows! It rounds up this nice show, that grew on me more and more with each new episode! 4 Stars of Five!!!!

Glad you enjoyed Canvas2 too! :) Prior to ep 24, I was expecting a bland Hiroki/Kiri finale. So the sudden twist was a rather pleasant surprise. As for Tomoko's peudo-death, I was utterly shocked. If they had killed her, I would probably have gone berserk.. :P

I was supposed to be shocked but since I watched this ep late, all the unavoidable spoilers made it less shocking. Poor Kiri, Poor Kiri.

I'm sure Hiroki made the right decision, I just feel sorry for Kiri who has wasted 25 years of her life on someone she should never and will never be with.

I was frankly shocked badly when Tomoko "died". I liked her. haha.

How could they kill tomoko like that! i mean wow, that is just harsh! Afterall she was such a neat chracter troughtout the series. Not to mention it was even almost like a suicide as if you payed attention her pills were on her lap, like she purposely decided not to take them... I mean wow... Cool ending though, either way i would have been happy... but tomoko!! come on!!! Baka! Baka~!

The way I understood the scene in the ending she was rescued and survived the surgery!

To be honest, I did not expect this 180 degrees turnaround. Damn, not even in the moment I saw it! I thought it was some kind of gimmick, but when I think about it now, everything matches together.
Dammit, I still cannot believe they ended up like they did.

This show was very nice until the end. From there it was amazing.

I enjoyed my marathon, it was worth watching.

The entire series was great, but I noticed some people believe tomoko died.
But, in the end credits it shows a glimpse of how everyones life continued. One of the glimpses is Tomoko waking up and smiling, most likely signifiying that the operation was
a success. It seems she doesn't die. Perfect ending for almost everyone. To bad for Kiri.
