Inspiration is one thing...thievery another
Sometimes readers tell me my blog reminds them a lot of Jeff's nowhere. It's no secret Jeff is the reason why I am a blogger and damn I am so thankful for that. His page was always simple, clean and beautiful. He was my inspiration...but oh my God I would have never ever taken his sourcecodes or anything to use it for my blog. Actually the first version of this page was so ugly I don't even have a screenshot *lol*
It's a pleasure for myself how much I developed...I like the current style myself and I don't think it's going to change drastically, it'll only improve to give more information and fun to anyone.
Today I visited a page that pisses me off totally, because it's a let's say 80% copy of mine: RAnSOM. Randi, what did you think you are doing stealing my complete stylesheet (even the colours) and part of the graphics. Burn in hell, girl, burn in hell...or try to get smarter and at least change what you've stolen so much the original owner can't recognize it.
I guess I make some face like Shana when she shouts: "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"

At least research something before criticizing it, and realize that anyone can use any web design they want as long as they don't claim it as their own original work when it isn't.

It's a girl and her name is Randi Thompson, so perhaps you should research before you talk, if I got the sense of that sentence right.
I live in Germany, people go to prison or pay a lots of money for copying any creative work here...that includes homepages. It's not okay in my eyes to use a complete style! So please don't do it with mine!

Good lord, when you said using part of your graphics I thought you at least meant they were nice enough to rehost it themselves rather than leave it pointing at yours! Thats pretty damn out of order.

Yikes! That's pretty cruel. Hopefully the person who took your layout will get in some kind of trouble for that.

I'm not in this for arguing, but the use of anything on any internet in the whole world is perfectly legal, regardless of circumstances so long as no legal registered copyright is place on the content.
And you can't copywight HTML, CSS, PHP, Java, or anything of that nature, because they are basic interface tools. Like the color red.
I apoligize for mistaking Ran as a guy, however. If you look at his picture it's an easy mistake.
Anyways, most likely he will either be told to change the CSS per your request by the administrator or no action will be taken.
How did you stumble upon his page anyways? He just changed it, so that's some sort of awful coincidence.

Mina, didn't the first thing I ever say to you was that I loved the way your site looked? It's no wonder that people would want to steal it. ;-)
However, if she liked the design so much, she should have at least asked you if it was okay to use it. You probably would have been okay with that, right?

As an added note to the content of the e-mail, I don't know if you even looked at the content of my website, but I am *not* a blogger--it isn't a blog in the slightest. It isn't something that other bloggers are going to ever look at and say 'hey, that looks like some girl's blog', because it is a container for an online comic.
